For those unfamiliar, Microsoft’s revamped Calculator in Windows 10 is a universal Windows app that has different modes introduced such as: Scientific, Standard, Programmer and Converter. It includes features such as unit conversions for volume, length, weight, temperature, energy, area, speed, time, power, data, pressure and angle. However, according to the reddit user, when the user tried to calculate 2+2*3 in Standard mode of windows 10 Calculator, the app started calculating the moment the numbers and operator were entered. It appeared that the standard Calculator ignored the order of operations. The reason behind this is that the application was designed to automatically process calculations immediately when you input the numbers. However, the problem persists only when you calculate in the Standard mode. If you switch to Scientific Mode, the Calculator app displays the correct answer. We hope Microsoft is quick enough to fix the issue. In the meanwhile, it would be safe to perform any mathematic calculations on the app in the scientific mode and get your math right.
